Women play a crucial role in society as mothers, sisters, caretakers, educators, and leaders. They possess a deep understanding of social structures and are naturally compassionate towards the needs of others. An educated mother recognizes the importance of female education just as much as male education. Unfortunately, in Pakistan, women’s literacy rates remain alarmingly low, and access to quality education is a major challenge.
The total literacy rate in Pakistan is approximately 59%, with only 47% of women being literate, compared to 71% of men. This gap highlights the urgent need to improve women’s education. To create a progressive and equitable society, we must change the mindset regarding girls’ education and provide them with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Mission: A School for Girls
At Farzana Naeem Foundation, we are committed to eliminating barriers to education for young girls. We have taken a significant step forward by establishing a free school for girls to educate them both religiously and secularly, empowering them with knowledge, rights, and practical skills.
Our school, located in Mominabad Phase 2, Khokharapar, Malir, is currently under construction and will provide completely free education to girls from Grade 1 to Grade 9. This NGO-based institution is dedicated to ensuring that no girl is deprived of an education due to financial constraints.
